Quick post with some of the signs we’ve seen during the past few days …
We’ve just come back from Srinagar and have email again but we are still in Kashmir so no mobile coverage (outside mobiles are blocked in Jammu and Kashmir).
We’ve been storing up the stories so several blogs coming soon!

Oh how lovely to be in Kashmir … we have some wonderful memories of having been invited to a local wedding (the father of the bride owned the Kashmiri carpets and was head village man but that’s another story….). We were entertained by a eunoch and I (Tina) was allowed to dine with men only since they ate separately from their women (I was made an honorary man for the day) as John did not want to be parted from me….
From Srinagar, we went by bus to Pahalgam, via Arantnag, which was cold, bleak and wonderful.
